I hate to pick nits, but...
Your client is wrong about the shift key, but they’re right about upper-case; you’ve heard of old-style figures, with descenders that drop below the baseline? They’re lower-case. Georgia has them, so does Adobe Garamond OSF; most typefaces, like Helvetica, don’t.
